Bayern Munich have completed the signing of French midfielder Corentin Tolisso on a five-year-deal from Lyon for a £35m fee.
The 22-year-old joined Ligue 1 outfit Lyon in 2007 aged 13 and made his debut in the 2013/14 season and he played every single game the following season.
He has played in a total of 116 games for Lyon over four seasons, scoring 21 goals.
The France international made 47 appearances last season, scoring 14 goals and having seven assists.
“I had a wonderful time with Lyon, for which I am very grateful,” Corentin Tolisso said.
“Now I’m looking forward to playing at one of the best clubs in Europe. I have set myself high goals at Bayern Munich. Today is a great day for me.”
“We are very happy that we were able to sign this young and interesting player, despite strong competition from abroad,” said Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
“Corentin Tolisso was the dream player for our head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, in midfield.”
The midfielder had been linked with AC Milan, Juventus, Inter, Tottenham and Chelsea.
Tolisso becomes the fifth summer signing for Bayern after Niklas Sule, Kingsley Coman, Sebastian Rudy and Serge Gnabry.
