Liverpool have had a whopping offer of £66m turned down by RB Leipzig for Naby Keita.

RB Leipzig have always insisted this summer that they do not wish to sell the midfielder, now the latest offer from Liverpool is almost double of their record signing Mohamed Salah.

Speaking to German media(Bild), RB Leipzig owner Dietrich Mateschitz has reiterated that the club do not want to sell their prized asset.

“We don’t sell any of our players just to get money,” Mateschitz told Bild.

“Lately we got a €75m offer for Naby Keita. No way! He has a contract and he will accomplish it.

“To sell him would not only be a proof of distrust to our fans but also the wrong sign for our players like Timo Werner, who is in demand too.”

However, Mateschitz’s comment contradicts some claims that there was a different opinion between the club and the sporting director on whether to sell Keita.
