Mesut Ozil may still be an Arsenal player but his team-mates are already planning for life without the German midfielder at the Emirates.
The playmaker has agreed to cut short the remaining six months left on his current Arsenal deal in order to sign for Fenerbahce.
Ozil joined the gunners in 2013 and he took the no.10 shirt in 2018 after the exit of Jack Wilshere from the club. He had long coveted the shirt given position but there will be plenty of players gunning for the shirt now that the midfielder is set to leave.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has previously spoken in the past about his desire to take the shirt but his strike partner, Alexandre Lacazette, is also interested in the no. 10.
The Frenchman took to Instagram on Sunday before any official confirmation over Ozil’s transfer move to Turkey to confirm that he wanted the No.10 Jersey.

Aludding to the fact that Aubameyang is also interested in the shirt, Lacazette uploaded a split photo of himself and the Garbonese strike alongside a Spiderman meme. Lacazette captioned the post: ‘When you both want the number 10’.
However, Arsenal captain Aubameyang quickly moved to calm the situation by telling Lacazette that he cam have the soon-to-be vacant shirt.
‘They said they put it away ????’ said Aubameyang. ‘All yours my bro.’
