Chelsea set asking price for Tammy Abraham as Tuchel eyes Haaland

Chelsea are ready to cash in on Tammy Abraham but will not accept offers that are lower than £40million, according to reports.

The England forward has been overlooked by Thomas Tuchel since the German coach replaced Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge and his last start came in the draw against Southampton in February, when he was substituted at the break.

Tuchel has favoured Timo Werner and Kai Havertz up front but Chelsea plan on going big for a striker this summer, with both Erling Haaland and Romelu Lukaku currently on their wishlist.

However, Both strikers would cost more than £100m and the Blues must therefore raise enough cash first, with Abraham considered one of their most valuable assets.

The 23-year-old England international scored 18 goals in his first campaign in the Premier League with the club last term and the Telegraph claim Chelsea will accept offers of around £40m for him.

Abraham’s current contract will expire in 2023, meaning this is the last summer of his contract in which the blues could extract a high fee for the striker.

Leicester City and West Ham are both reported to be interested in Abraham and Chelsea hope he will be 40% of a drive to raise as much as £100m this summer window, through the sales of Zouma and Fikayo Tomori.

The club will then look to put that money towards the signing of Haaland, who is valued at £150m by Borussia Dortmund.

However, the Norwegian star is wanted by clubs like Manchester City, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United, while he’s believed to be demanding wages of up to £500,000-a-week.
