Mason Mount prefers a move to Manchester United this summer as he believes Erik ten Hag’s style offers him the best fit going forward.
United have emerged as favourites to sign the Chelsea midfielder, whose current contract at Stamford Bridge expires next summer with hopes of a contract extension fading.
Arsenal and Liverpool are both keen on signing the 24-year-old with former Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel also keen on a reunion at Bayern Munich.

Reports this week however suggest Mount is leaning towards a move to United, with signing a new midfielder a top priority for ten Hag along with a new striker.
According to The Independent, ten Hag has the ‘clearest idea’ for Mount among the interested teams with Mount convinced the Dutchman’s set-up is the best for him.
The same report claims Chelsea want at least £55m for the England international this summer. United are reluctant to go that high, with their budget open to change.
Mount has had an underwhelming season in what has been a disastrous campaign for Chelsea having won the club’s player of the season award in the previous two years.
While he appears to be ten Hag’s main midfield target, United legend Paul Scholes is not convinced he has progressed enough.
The former midfielder also has concerns over Mount’s recent goal contribution, having scored three times in 35 games this term.
‘Look, I like Mason Mount… does he do enough?’ Scholes told Premier League Productions.
‘But I expected him to score goals, a lot more goals, in big games, to win you games, he hasn’t really kicked on from there.
‘I think a change of club might not be a bad thing for him.’
