Mason Mount makes unexpected decision as Chelsea players reacts to social update

Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has made a slightly radical change while away on holiday ahead of the new season.

Mount was away at the Spanish Grand Prix last week, meeting up with Chilwell, Reece James and Joao Felix, he is making the most of some time off.

And the England star can’t escape the speculation over his future. He is out of contract in just over 12 months and has a number of teams fighting to sign him.

Manchester United are currently leading the way in his signature and are preparing an offer. Arsenal are also keen and Liverpool have shown their own admiration.

With Chelsea waiting for Mount to return before a decision is made, Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping for a change of direction with this as he prepares to take over on July 1 ahead of pre-season.

Anyway, Mount is now sporting a new hairstyle which mirrors that of Paul Gascoigne style that became the rage in 2021 during the Euros. He didn’t join the group at that time but has done now.

In a post which he captioned: “Tranquilo” he shows off the new cut. And it is a change from his normal brown fashion choice and has caught the eye.

Former Chelsea players Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham both responding to the post. “Oh blondie [eyes emoji]” wrote the England defender whilst Abraham said: “The boyyy [fire emoji].”

Kai Havertz also responded while reported Chelsea transfer target James Maddison gave him a nickname.

“Willllll the real slim shady please stand up,” he wrote. After being relegated with Leicester City he is set to be lining up for England without Mount, who was left out of the recent squad.
