Brighton manager De Zerbi names best team in the Premier League

Brighton’s manager, Roberto De Zerbi, stated that Arsenal stands as the “Premier League’s best team” after his squad experienced a 2-0 loss at the Emirates.

Despite the Seagulls putting up a resilient fight, Arsenal clinched the win through goals from Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz, propelling them to the league’s summit following Liverpool’s draw with Manchester United at Anfield.

Despite their dominance, Arsenal struggled to find a decisive touch until Jesus’ second-half goal. De Zerbi’s commendation underscores the Gunners’ remarkable display in the league.

“Arsenal played much better than us. I think Arsenal are one of the best, maybe this season the best team in the Premier League.

“We are not used to suffering in this way. We are used to controlling the game,” the Brighton head coach said in his post-game reaction.

In his analysis of the match, De Zerbi stated that Arsenal is the most formidable opponent Brighton has encountered this season.

This outcome signifies a noteworthy turnaround for Arsenal, especially considering their 3-0 loss to Brighton last season, which significantly impacted their title ambitions. The current triumph underscores Arsenal’s enhanced form and heightened competitiveness.

With Liverpool’s draw against Manchester United, Arsenal now enjoy a one-point lead at the league’s summit.

The Gunners have the opportunity to potentially widen this advantage as they go up against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool next weekend at Anfield.

Meanwhile, Brighton has slid to ninth in the standings following West Ham’s success against Wolves at the London Stadium. The evolving dynamics in the Premier League standings emphasize the fiercely competitive nature of this season.
