Victor Osimhen drops hint about possible Chelsea move

Victor Osimhen has stirred excitement among Chelsea fans by responding to a supporter’s suggestion that he join the Premier League side.

Osimhen’s future has been a hot topic, with numerous Premier League clubs expressing interest in acquiring the services of the Napoli striker.

Reports indicate that both Chelsea and Arsenal have explored the possibility of securing the Nigerian international in the upcoming January transfer window.

Despite Osimhen’s impressive 26-goal contribution last season that played a key role in Napoli’s Serie A triumph, he recently committed to a new contract with the Italian club.

However, this new deal reportedly includes a release clause set at a minimum of €130 million (£112m).

Adding to the intrigue, an exchange on social media involving the Nigerian international has given Chelsea fans additional reasons for optimism.

A fan extended birthday wishes to Osimhen along with an old photo of the striker donning a Chelsea shirt.

‘Happy birthday Victor Osimhen, pls come and rescue Chelsea soon,’ the message read.

The 25-year-old striker responded to the post, with a cryptic message of two love heart emojis followed by a praying emoji.

In addition to pursuing Osimhen, Chelsea is reportedly keeping tabs on RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko, with their keen interest in Ivan Toney already widely acknowledged.

To finance these potential acquisitions, Todd Boehly and the Chelsea board are contemplating the sale of various players.

This includes the consideration of parting ways with squad player Noni Madueke and the influential central midfielder Conor Gallagher.
