Gabriel Magalhaes absolutely furious with Arsenal player despite beating Wolves

During Arsenal’s recent triumph over Wolverhampton Wanderers, Gabriel Magalhaes couldn’t hide his frustration with a fellow Arsenal player.

On Saturday night, Arsenal secured a pivotal 2-0 win against Wolves, nudging Mikel Arteta’s team one point ahead of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League, despite having played an extra game compared to the current champions.

The victory was a significant boost for the Gunners, especially after relinquishing their lead in the title race the previous Sunday with a 2-0 loss to Aston Villa, followed by their exit from the Champions League at the hands of Bayern Munich just three days later.

Even as Arsenal managed to secure the win against Wolves, the intense pressure of the title race occasionally surfaced during the game.

In the tense moments of the match, with only 10 minutes left on the clock and Arsenal leading 1-0, Gabriel’s temper flared towards his teammate Kai Havertz when the latter failed to prevent Rayan Ait-Nouri from advancing past him.

Describing the incident, BBC Sports journalist Jonathan Jurejko said: “Gabriel gobs off at one of his team-mates. The one who let Rayan Ait-Nouri run at him.

“Standards are high when you’re going for the Premier League title.”

After the match, Arteta said he was confident his team were back in the conversation for the Premier League title.

The Arsenal head coach told Sky Sports: “At the moment, I can’t tell you what the difference is. At the moment, we are fighting for the league again.

“We’ve had our first experience in the Champions League for a lot of those boys. We’ve come quite far, not as far yet as we want but we want to still improve a lot.

“This is where we want to be [at the top of the table]. We lost it last week at home to Aston Villa.

“We didn’t deserve to lose it, but we’re top now at least for a day so let’s see what happens.

“We’re going to have to earn the win on Tuesday against Chelsea. We’ll give it a real go.”
