Maximilian will be aiming to follow in his father’s footsteps, as Zlatan made over 100 appearances for Milan across three different stints, scoring 76 goals.
Milan was one of nine clubs Ibrahimovic represented throughout his career, which also included spells with Inter Milan and Juventus, two of Milan’s biggest rivals.
In addition to his time in Italy, the Swedish forward also played for Barcelona in Spain, Ajax in the Netherlands, and Paris Saint-Germain in France.
Though Ibrahimovic had a brief stint in the Premier League with Manchester United, that was the only English club he ever played for.
Recently, a quote from the Swedish legend explaining his decision not to sign for Chelsea has resurfaced on social media.
The quote reads: “Chelsea couldn’t sign me. I have more trophies than Chelsea. They should have been the ones signing me.”
In response, former Chelsea skipper Terry took to Instagram to tag in Didier Drogba, before brutally replying: “He didn’t want to be on the bench.”
Back in 2015, Ibrahimovic didn’t hold back on his opinion of Chelsea’s players after facing them in a Champions League clash while playing for PSG.
During the second leg of the quarter-final, he received a straight red card for a challenge on Oscar. Despite his dismissal, PSG managed to secure a draw and advanced on away goals.
He said after the match: “The worst is when I got the red card, all the Chelsea players come around. It felt like I had a lot of babies around me.”
