Ruben Amorim is reportedly planning to revive the role of a Manchester United player who has been on the sidelines lately.

Van Nistelrooy had rejoined the club as Ten Hag’s assistant just last summer, and United expressed gratitude for his efforts.
This decision marks Amorim’s first significant change, but according to The Sun, he has another surprise up his sleeve.
Reports now indicate that Amorim is set to make Mason Mount a core part of his strategy.
Mount, who joined United in a £55 million transfer from Chelsea, has yet to settle in, having worn the No. 7 shirt vacated by Cristiano Ronaldo.
He struggled with injuries last season, playing just 20 games with one goal, and this season he’s made only six appearances, still far from his best and out of the England squad.
However, Amorim seems to see potential in Mount’s versatility, which could fit well into his system.
Known for his three-at-the-back formation, Amorim sees an opportunity for Mount to thrive in a similar role to the inverted winger position he played under Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea, where he helped secure the 2021 Champions League.
Previously, Ten Hag had envisioned Mount pairing with Casemiro in midfield, but the combination didn’t quite work out.
Now back from injury, Mount will be among the first senior players to work with Amorim at Carrington, as many teammates are currently away on international duty.
