Another man who was holding a pen and a book said: ‘Pep, please, I didn’t say that.’
The man filming who initially goaded Guardiola then said: ‘No, it’s fine.’
The video circulated on Friday afternoon, with many assuming it was filmed after Manchester City’s 2-0 loss to Liverpool at Anfield the previous Sunday.
However, it’s believed the video was actually taken after City’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup final in May.
Guardiola’s attire in the clip matches what he wore at Wembley for the final against United on May 25 earlier this year.
The defeat to Liverpool extended City’s winless streak to seven games. During the match at Anfield, Guardiola responded to home fans’ taunts by holding up six fingers, indicating his number of Premier League titles.
City ended their winless run with a 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest on Wednesday. They are currently fourth in the Premier League table, nine points behind leaders Liverpool.
Guardiola’s team is set to play Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
