Yoro arrived at Manchester United from Ligue 1 side Lille in a £52 million transfer this summer. His initial period at United was significantly disrupted by an ankle injury, limiting him to just eight appearances so far.
However, since regaining fitness, he has been a regular under new boss Ruben Amorim. Along with adapting to life at one of the Premier League’s biggest clubs, Yoro has also had to adjust to playing in a new country.
The 18-year-old has shared that he is taking English lessons to better acclimate to his new environment. He also mentioned that the famously gloomy weather in Manchester does not bother him at all.

“Honestly, everything is going well,” he told Telefoot. “I’ve got everything I need. The team is welcoming, and there are other young players, which helps. The weather is similar to the north of France, so that’s not much of a change.
“The language is coming along; I’m starting to get used to speaking properly. I understand now, because the hardest part is sometimes understanding what they’re saying with the accent, but it’s going well.”
Yoro’s comments draw a distinct contrast between him and Ronaldo, who openly expressed his dislike for the British rain. In 2006, the Portuguese star admitted that the gloomy weather was a challenge for him.
“I like to play for Manchester – better than [I like] the weather,” Ronaldo told Sky Sports News at the time. “The weather is very difficult for me because you see snow, every time, and rain.
“It’s difficult compared to Portugal, where you see sun every day, which is why it’s difficult for me. But the club is massive and I’m very happy for staying here.”
Yoro made his Man United debut in the defeat at title challenging Arsenal last month. Speaking ahead of that match, Amorim made it clear the young defender had caught his eye.
“He is a special talent, we have to be careful in the first moment. We didn’t have too many training [sessions] together. He has been training with a small group of players. He is really fast, a modern defender,” he said.
“He will be good when we want to press high and you leave a lot of strikers in this league one against one, he can manage that. He is very good with the ball so I am very excited. We have to be careful, we have to manage the load and minute in the beginning but I am really excited to see Leny Yoro playing.”
