Napoli recently made a bid of around £40 million for the young winger, which was rejected. While they are exploring other options, it is believed that a deal for Garnacho could still materialize, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Chelsea has also expressed interest in the 20-year-old talent and has reportedly joined the race to sign him this month.
With Manchester United facing challenges in complying with the Premier League’s financial fair play regulations, selling a valuable academy product like Garnacho, who represents pure profit under these rules, might become necessary.

As the financial year ends on June 30 and the summer transfer window opens, the current winter window presents an opportunity for clubs to capitalize on the financial vulnerabilities of Premier League teams.
Despite being considered untouchable last summer, Garnacho and other homegrown players now appear to be available for transfer, but only an exceptional bid would convince United to sell the Argentine.
The club has declined to comment on the situation, and the winter transfer window remains open until February 3.
United manager Ruben Amorim has raved about Garnacho’s potential at United, saying, “That is clear. He has talent. He needs to learn to play in a different position. He needs to play better inside.
“He improves a lot in the recovering position when he doesn’t have the ball. But doing that, sometimes he’s not in the right place to make transitions like he was in the past. I prefer to defend and then build up with all the team to reach the final third.
“He’s finding the best way to play in this system. He’s improving during training. He started the last game. Let’s see tomorrow. I think he changed the way he sees himself.”
The gifted youngster, Garnacho, was brought back into action for Arsenal’s FA Cup third-round match, making his first start in a month after being benched for seven games and missing out on the Manchester derby squad last month.
This young prodigy, whose contract at United runs until 2028 with an option for an additional year, appears to be thriving under Amorim’s mentorship.
