Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has addressed a video clip that appears to show Declan Rice and Gabriel Magalhaes having a disagreement following their 0-0 draw with Nottingham Forest last night.
The Gunners’ chances of winning the Premier League title are now slim after consecutive victories for Liverpool, while Arteta’s injury-hit squad struggles to find the back of the net. ..Continue Reading
Given the outcome at the City Ground, it’s not surprising that the players were in a sour mood, with Gabriel and Rice seemingly having a heated exchange after the match.
While this might be quite normal, Rice appeared particularly irritated about something.
It’s unclear if his frustration was directed at Gabriel or if the England international was simply venting to the Brazilian center-back about something else.
Arteta, however, claimed he did not witness the incident and therefore could not provide further insight.
Speaking after the match, as quoted by football.london, the Spanish coach said: “They’re probably demanding [more from] each other.
“I really don’t know the topic that they discussed. I don’t know, I haven’t seen it. I walked to the referees and our supporters, and didn’t see anything.”
Arsenal’s quest for the title this season might be nearing its end, but they must stay focused for their upcoming Champions League fixtures.
The north London giants have frequently fallen short in Europe, yet this competition might now present a more feasible opportunity for success.
A stroke of luck in knockout football can make a significant difference, while catching Liverpool in the Premier League seems nearly impossible, even with a flawless run-in.
