A Real Sociedad player has taken a jab at Manchester United ahead of their Europa League showdown.

Before the match at the Anoeta, Sociedad goalkeeper Alex Remiro made a playful remark about the Red Devils, stating that “something always goes wrong” at the club.
In an interview with The Guardian, the Spaniard was asked if he watches United games.
Remiro replied: “Yes. For work and because I like to. I feel like the same is happening to them as happens to us, a bit. They have players with huge potential but they don’t seem to quite find the solution to be the team they once were, to be higher up.
“Maybe they need a run of five, six, seven games winning, but something always happens. I like the new coach, I like his ideas – I liked Erik ten Hag too – but it feels like something always goes wrong.”
United have faced another challenging season, currently languishing in 14th place in the Premier League, a significant 34 points adrift of the leaders, Liverpool.
After their FA Cup victory in the 23/24 campaign, many had anticipated that the Old Trafford club would compete for Champions League spots this season.
However, the team’s performance deteriorated, leading to Erik ten Hag’s dismissal in October and the appointment of Ruben Amorim as his successor.
The 40-year-old, who previously impressed at Sporting Clube de Portugal, has struggled to implement his playing style at United.
Ahead of the match against Sociedad, Amorim emphasized that he will continue with his system.
He said: “I think the system is not the problem; it is the way of playing. We have a lot of problems and we are trying to work on the problems. Every system needs different characteristics. I am still really confident. I will not change that [my formation].”
