Arne Slot to axe 5 senior Liverpool stars even if they win the title as brutal summer overhaul planned

Despite this, reports suggest that the Dutch manager has already identified five players he is open to selling in order to remain active in the upcoming transfer window.

As the June window approaches, much of the discussion about Liverpool’s future will center on the expiring contracts of star players Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Virgil van Dijk.

However, Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg has revealed that Slot is planning to reshape the squad with several exciting new signings expected.

To make room for these changes, the manager has reportedly approved the potential departures of Caoimhin Kelleher, Wataru Endo, Harvey Elliott, Federico Chiesa, and Diogo Jota.

Rumors of Kelleher’s exit have been circulating since the start of the season, as the Irish goalkeeper has expressed a desire for regular first-team action and is open to joining another club for the opportunity.

With Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili set to join Liverpool in the summer, having been signed last year, it seems Kelleher is not part of Slot’s long-term plans.

The 26-year-old has reportedly attracted interest from multiple clubs, including Premier League side Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Chiesa, who joined Liverpool only last summer, has struggled to secure consistent playing time. This has fueled speculation that the Italian winger may be open to leaving the club during the next transfer window.
