Manchester United, and he’s not considering any other offers.
The Cameroonian forward has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford, and United have already submitted two bids for him.
Their latest offer—worth £55 million plus £7.2 million in performance-related add-ons—was turned down by Brentford, who are holding out for a package closer to £63 million.
Speculation around Tottenham’s interest intensified after their appointment of former Brentford manager Thomas Frank, who coached Mbeumo during his rise from the Championship to the Premier League.
However, despite the potential reunion, Mbeumo has reportedly informed both clubs that he is only interested in joining United.
The 25-year-old joined Brentford from French side Troyes in 2019 and has since become one of their standout performers.
Last season, he delivered a career-best campaign with 20 goals and 8 assists in the Premier League, helping the Bees to a top-half finish.
With Brentford now transitioning under new head coach Keith Andrews, the club faces the challenge of replacing one of their most valuable assets.
Mbeumo’s current contract runs until 2026, but Brentford do have the option to extend it by another year. Still, with the player pushing for a move and United offering a significant wage increase—reportedly up to £200,000 per week—the pressure is mounting.
United, under new manager Ruben Amorim, have already secured Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5 million and are keen to add Mbeumo as their next major signing.
If the deal goes through, it could trigger further changes in United’s attack, with the futures of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho under increasing scrutiny.
Negotiations are ongoing, and while Brentford remain firm on their valuation, there is growing optimism that a deal will be finalized soon.
