Sergio Aguero names four teams that can still win the Premier League

Sergio Aguero believes that despite Liverpool’s strong lead, four teams are still in contention for the Premier League title.

Liverpool have established a six-point lead at the top of the table and hold a game in hand over their title rivals.

The Reds, who finished third in Jurgen Klopp’s final season, were anticipated to need time to adapt under new manager Arne Slot. ..Continue Reading

However, they have lost just two games all season and are now favorites to win both the Premier League and the Champions League.

Aguero acknowledges that catching Liverpool will be challenging but maintains that Arsenal, Chelsea, and his former club Manchester City are still in the title race.

Arsenal, currently second, appear more vulnerable this season, dropping points in nearly half of their Premier League matches.

Nottingham Forest is in third place after an impressive run under Nuno Espirito Santo, ahead of Chelsea and Manchester City, who are fourth and fifth respectively.

Chelsea has surpassed expectations in Enzo Maresca’s first season, though a poor run since Christmas has left them ten points behind Liverpool.

Manchester City, meanwhile, has experienced a significant decline under Pep Guardiola, losing six league games as they aim for a record-extending fifth consecutive title.

‘To compete for the title, you’ve got to win as many matches as possible,’ Stake ambassador Aguero said, looking ahead to Man City’s clash against Chelsea this weekend.

‘Chelsea is just another hurdle and beating them would be a massive boost. I wouldn’t look out the rear-view mirror to see how it benefits others – I’d look straight ahead and think about what’s best for City.

‘I’m not big on predictions. At present, Liverpool has racked up a sizable advantage, it’s hard to ignore how tough it’d be to erase their point lead.

‘But this remains the Premier League, and the impossible has happened before. Arsenal and Chelsea are hopeful, and if they keep steady, they’ll be in the race.

‘As for City – what can I say but my trademark: they’ll fight until the end. I’ve seen it happen in the flesh.

‘I stand by what I’ve said about Chelsea. I also mentioned the team is very young on average, and that has its pros and cons.

‘There’s ambition and lack of experience both. That could explain the irregularity. It’ll be about tapering that performance, that’ll surely put them back into the running.’
