The ex-Reds full-back has been steadily recovering from a hamstring issue, and reports from Spain suggest he might be ready to feature at Anfield on November 4.
With four fixtures lined up for Los Blancos before their trip to Merseyside, Alexander-Arnold is reportedly optimistic about making his return toward the end of that stretch.
Initially given a six-week recovery window, the 27-year-old has already missed four weeks of action.

The Real Madrid defender was visibly upset after picking up the injury early in the Champions League clash against Marseille last month.
It was a tough blow during the early phase of his journey in Madrid.
He had quickly earned a starting spot in the Real Madrid lineup but was later displaced by skipper Dani Carvajal following the latter’s comeback from a serious knee injury. That lack of minutes cost him a spot in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for September.
Now, Alexander-Arnold must prove both his fitness and form to reclaim his place for club and country in the weeks ahead.
Returning to his childhood club adds another layer of pressure to the challenge.
The Liverpool academy product is expected to face a chilly reception at Anfield, having declined a contract extension to join Real Madrid.
Liverpool received approximately $11 million for his early exit, which allowed him to compete in the Club World Cup.
“It was one of the hardest decisions of my life. Liverpool is my home; it made me who I am. But Madrid felt like the right step, at the right time,” Alexander-Arnold told GQ Espana when asked about his Liverpool exit.
“It was ambition and a personal desire for change. To challenge myself in a new environment. Of course, Real Madrid’s legacy is undeniable. But more than that, what attracted me was my ambition and the desire to test myself in new surroundings.
“It’s a challenge, but one I welcome. Playing at the Bernabeu is sacred. You can feel the weight of the shirt, but that’s what drives you to give it your all.”
His decision to leave prompted boos from Liverpool fans before the season ended. While reactions were mixed, the sense of disappointment was clear.
During his final appearance against Crystal Palace, he received a more heartfelt farewell, visibly emotional as he walked off the pitch after the final whistle on the last day of the season.
