Real have four fixtures scheduled before heading to Merseyside, and Alexander-Arnold is reportedly aiming to be fit by the end of that stretch.
Initially given a six-week recovery window, the 27-year-old has already spent four weeks sidelined.
The Los Blancos player was left heartbroken after picking up the injury just minutes into the Champions League clash with Marseille last month. The incident added to a rocky beginning in the Spanish capital.

Alexander-Arnold had quickly secured a spot in the Real Madrid lineup until Xabi Alonso chose to reinstate club skipper Dani Carvajal following his return from a major knee injury.
Limited game time ultimately cost Alexander-Arnold a place in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for September.
Now, he must demonstrate both his physical readiness and his performance level to reclaim positions in both teams. Returning to his boyhood club will make that challenge even tougher.
The Liverpool academy product is expected to encounter a frosty welcome back in Merseyside, having turned down a contract extension to join the Berbabeu.
The Reds received a £10million transfer fee for releasing him early to participate in the Club World Cup.
“It was one of the hardest decisions of my life. Liverpool is my home; it made me who I am. But Madrid felt like the right step, at the right time,” Alexander-Arnold told GQ Espana when asked about his departure.
“It was ambition and a personal desire for change. To challenge myself in a new environment. Of course, Real Madrid’s legacy is undeniable. But more than that, what attracted me was my ambition and the desire to test myself in new surroundings.
“It’s a challenge, but one I welcome. Playing at the Bernabeu is sacred. You can feel the weight of the shirt, but that’s what drives you to give it your all.”
Alexander-Arnold was booed by Liverpool fans after revealing his intention to leave before the season concluded. The reaction among supporters was mixed, though many expressed disappointment.
His final outing against Crystal Palace drew a more sympathetic response, and he appeared visibly moved during the post-match scenes on the last day of the campaign.
