Reports from the Manchester Evening News suggest that he is considering promoting 16-year-old winger Bendito Mantato to the first team as a versatile wing-back option, highlighting his willingness to invest in United’s youth players.
Meanwhile, Football Insider claims that Amorim and the club are adamant about retaining 17-year-old left-back Harry Amass, despite interest from Aston Villa.
Amass has trained with the first team this season and has been named in the matchday squad but has yet to make a Premier League appearance.
Previous manager Erik ten Hag was reportedly cautious about introducing him into senior football regularly, even during an injury crisis in the left-back position.
However, United view Amass as a critical player for the future with significant potential.
The teenager could fit well into Amorim’s tactical plans, and if he impresses during training this week, he may be included in the squad for the Ipswich game, with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia still sidelined due to injuries.
