Ruben Amorim reportedly has high expectations for one particular Manchester United player after signing a contract to manage the Red Devils through 2027.
The 39-year-old left Sporting CP to replace Erik ten Hag, who was dismissed last month.

His first match as manager will take place on November 24 against Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
With United currently sitting 13th in the Premier League, many are curious to see what the Portuguese coach can accomplish with a squad that has underperformed this season.
Amorim and his staff have their own vision for the team, but journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that they’re especially eager to work with young defensive prospect Leny Yoro.
According to Romano, Amorim considers Yoro a “generational talent,” aligning with the club’s high hopes for his future.
Amorim recently met Yoro for the first time and reportedly sees him as one of “the most interesting players to develop.” Yoro joined United from Lille over the summer in a £52 million transfer and signed a five-year contract.
However, the 19-year-old center-back suffered a metatarsal injury in pre-season, sidelining him for months, and has yet to make his competitive debut. His expected return is eagerly anticipated by United’s supporters.
Additionally, a report from The Sun suggests that Amorim values Mason Mount as part of his plans despite the midfielder’s tough start at United.
Mount has struggled with injuries and form since his £55 million move from Chelsea, but Amorim believes his versatility will be beneficial for the team’s system.
