‘My players aren’t lazy but we are struggling to work effectively together’, was Ancelotti’s line on Tuesday after defeat to AC Milan.
On Friday, Ancelotti urged his players to put into action what they had discussed during the week, stressing the importance of commitment, sacrifice, and team spirit.

As he noted, his words will eventually fade, but the team’s performances will tell the real story.
