Carlo Ancelotti faces crucial decisions for the new season, including the best formation to maximize the impact of star signing Kylian Mbappe, determining his ideal starting eleven, and finalizing set-piece responsibilities, among other tasks.
In the midst of this, MARCA reports that Real Madrid has already decided who will be their main penalty-taker for the upcoming season.
Kylian Mbappe, who was the main penalty-taker at PSG and also for the French national team, will be the secondary choice for penalties at Real Madrid.
According to MARCA, Vinicius Jr. will be the primary penalty-taker for Real Madrid. He was chosen as the preferred option last season after Karim Benzema’s departure and will continue in that role.
Vinicius successfully converted all three penalties he took for Real Madrid during the 2023/24 season when he was fit and available.

The Brazilian has been practicing his penalty-taking during the recent pre-season camp in the USA, aiming to maintain his high success rate.
Meanwhile, Mbappe will be assigned the role of primary free-kick taker, an area where Real Madrid has had some recent concerns.
