Sergio Aguero is “very angry” with Barcelona for not renewing the contract of Lionel Messi and could even try and force his way out of the club, according to reports.
The La Liga giants had ‘promised’ Aguero that he would play with Messi at Barca, but it was confirmed on Thursday that he was unable to stay at the Camp Nou due to “financial and structural obstacles”.
Aguero feels betrayed by his new team and his lawyers are currently reviewing the terms of his contract at Barcelona.
This is according to Catalonian outlet Beteve (via La Porteria) who claim to have broken the news of Aguero moving to Barcelona four months before it was confirmed.
The Argentine forward’s future with the La Liga side is looking bleak at this moment and he could now request to leave the club with Messi set to join Paris Saint-Germain in the next couple of days.
Messi’s future at Barcelona had been uncertain all summer, but last month it was reported that he was “on the right track” to sign a new contract.
It was then reported last week that that the player was all-set to put pen-to-paper on a new five-year contract at Barcelona. But on Thursday they revealed via their official website that Messi will “not be staying” at the club.

“Despite FC Barcelona and Lionel Messi having reached an agreement and the clear intention of both parties to sign a new contract today, this cannot happen because of financial and structural obstacles (Spanish Liga regulations),” they said in a statement.
“As a result of this situation, Messi shall not be staying on at FC Barcelona. Both parties deeply regret that the wishes of the player and the club will ultimately not be fulfilled.”
According to French outlet L’Equipe, PSG are to offer the Barcelona legend a three-year contract. And Messi is reportedly keen to move to the French capital and could earn €40m per year at Paris.
