That decision came after Salah’s angry reaction toward Slot when he remained on the bench during the Premier League defeat to Leeds United at Elland Road last weekend.
Salah later hit out at Liverpool, accusing the club of scapegoating him, while also questioning Slot’s choice to leave him out of the starting XI against both Sunderland and West Ham United.
Despite not having spoken with Slot since his public dispute with the club last weekend, Salah is now expected to be included in Liverpool’s squad for Saturday’s Premier League fixture against Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield.
Earlier this week, we reported that members of the Liverpool squad believed Salah would not feature, as preparations throughout most of the week had taken place without him.
Sources have since told us that Slot held discussions with senior club officials and experienced first-team players to evaluate the situation before deciding Salah’s fate.
The Brighton match will be Salah’s last appearance for Liverpool before he departs to represent Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations, with his return anticipated in mid-January.
It is believed that once Salah leaves for AFCON, the club will hold further internal discussions regarding his long-term future, which is currently uncertain.
Liverpool, the reigning Premier League champions, have managed only 23 points from their opening 15 league games this season and already trail leaders Arsenal by 10 points.
Salah’s performances have fallen below expectations this campaign, with the 33-year-old registering just five goals and three assists in 19 outings across all competitions.
Elsewhere, Liverpool are understood to have an agreement lined up for a defender set to arrive from Scottish Premiership heavyweights Celtic.
TEAMtalk transfer correspondent Fraser Fletcher has also been informed that Tottenham are plotting a move to beat Liverpool to the signing of Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo, who is expected to be available during the January transfer window.
Finally, we can disclose the stance Liverpool are likely to face if they decide to pursue Marc Guehi, who is due to become a free agent next summer when his Crystal Palace contract runs out.
