Yet, they continue to look unstoppable in their pursuit of the Premier League title, which they haven’t won since 2004.
Bukayo Saka, not at his usual level, netted in the 54th minute to equalise before Leandro Trossard struck a stunning goal in the 74th minute. But Brian Brobbey had the final say, scoring in the 90+4th minute to level the match.
This was arguably one of the season’s most demanding fixtures for the North London side, and Eze didn’t deliver his usual spark.

Arsenal missed the chance to extend their winning streak to six games and build a nine-point cushion at the summit.
Trossard continues to justify the club’s decision to renew his deal rather than let him go, and he believed he had sealed the win with another standout performance.
Eze, on the other hand, must quickly adapt to the demands of a title challenge, especially with the opportunity to win the Premier League in his debut season with the Gunners. He joined from Crystal Palace in a £67.5 million transfer.
The 27-year-old’s display left plenty to be desired, and with captain Martin Odegaard nearing a comeback, Eze faces pressure to retain his spot in Arteta’s lineup. His trademark creativity was absent, and another forward stepped up in his place.
Arsenal’s summer recruitment has given Arteta a wealth of attacking options, with Eze arriving alongside Noni Madueke, who had impressed before suffering an injury. Once the English winger returns to fitness, he’ll be another contender for a starting role.
Odegaard is also keen to reclaim his position, and the Norwegian could be back after the international break. That’s why Eze must avoid inconsistency, especially with so many alternatives available to the manager.
Arsenal made a grand statement when unveiling Eze, and many considered him the most thrilling acquisition of the summer.
He was Palace’s standout performer during their FA Cup-winning campaign, scoring the decisive goal at Wembley before making the switch across London.
Eze has generally impressed early in his Arsenal tenure and even scored the winner against Oliver Glasner’s side last month. But fans are demanding consistency, and they’ve voiced their concerns online.
One fan was frustrated with his first-half display with his side one-nil down: “Eze had a horrible first half icl, let’s hope the second goes better.”
Another supporter was harsh with his verdict: “Eze is trash”
One is waiting for their skipper to return: “Arsenal need Odegaard back. I haven’t loved what Eze has given us for the most part.”
Another added: “Eze looks poor today man. Consistently a second off the pace or so, very frustrating.”
One stated: “Gotta say it. Eze a huge disappointment so far.”
Another felt the Englishman had little impact: “Unpopular opinion: Eze looks lost on the pitch.”
Eze will aim to rediscover his form during the international break while representing England in FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
He’ll be determined to hold onto his place in Arteta’s squad, especially with the North London Derby against Tottenham Hotspur looming—a club that missed out on signing him.
