Arsenal midfielder Charlie Patino has shared a heartfelt message on social media after it was confirmed that he will be leaving the Emirates.
Patino first captured attention in 2021 when, at 18 years old, he scored on his debut during a 5-1 victory over Sunderland in the League Cup.
Many believed he was destined to become a star under Mikel Arteta, with Arsenal’s head of scouting, Shaun O’Connor, once calling him the ‘best player to ever come through Hale End’.
Despite this, the midfielder only made two appearances for Arsenal, spending the past two seasons on loan at Blackpool and Swansea….

Patino is the second player from Arsenal’s Hale End academy to depart this transfer window, following Emile Smith Rowe’s £34 million transfer to Fulham.
A third departure may be imminent, with Eddie Nketiah nearing a move to Crystal Palace.
The striker was previously on the verge of signing with Nottingham Forest, but negotiations fell through over the weekend due to the club’s inability to reach an agreement with the 25-year-old.
