Casemiro is expected to stay at United for the upcoming season after receiving a timely boost from Brazil’s new head coach, Carlo Ancelotti.
The experienced midfielder, who had been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia as United look to reduce their wage bill, now sees remaining in the Premier League as key to securing a spot in Brazil’s squad for the next World Cup.
After a difficult start under new manager Ruben Amorim, Casemiro fought his way back into the team and delivered strong performances toward the end of the campaign.
His efforts were rewarded when Ancelotti, his former coach at Real Madrid, recalled him to the national team after a long absence.
Casemiro featured in both of Brazil’s recent qualifiers, helping the team climb the South American standings.
Although United are open to letting him leave—especially given his high wages—Casemiro has expressed his happiness in Manchester.
He’s reportedly uninterested in a move to Saudi Arabia for now, despite interest from clubs like Al-Nassr.
His close friendship with Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays there, hasn’t swayed his decision, and he recently shared a photo wearing recovery boots from a brand Ronaldo co-owns.
United, meanwhile, are preparing for a major squad overhaul under Amorim. Several players, including Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Antony, are available for transfer.
Inter Milan had shown interest in Rasmus Højlund, but after investing in other forwards and promoting youth talent, a permanent deal seems unlikely.
A loan move with a future purchase clause remains a potential option.
