As preparations for the Club World Cup continue, Chelsea has already bolstered their squad with the signings of English striker Liam Delap and French defender Mamadou Sarr, with further changes expected in the coming months.
On Monday, the club officially announced their retained list, confirming the departure of four players.
“Four players will depart Chelsea at the end of this month, when their current contracts expire on 30 June,” the statement read.
“Goalkeeper Lucas Bergstrom brings his six years with the Blues to an end. He joined us from Turun Palloseura in his native Finland during the 2018/19 campaign and rose through the ranks in our Academy.

“Eddie Beach will also leave the club this summer. The Wales Under-21 international signed from Southampton in 2022 and was named on the bench for the men’s team for two Premier League fixtures during 2023/24, in addition to spending time on loan at several clubs, most recently Crawley Town.
“The other goalkeeper departing Chelsea at the end of June is Luke Campbell, who featured regularly for our Under-18s as we won the Under-18 Premier League southern title in 2023/24. He spent the first half of this season on loan at Hendon, making three Under-21s appearances following his return to the Blues.
“Also included on the Premier League released list is Dylan Williams, whose permanent departure to Burton Albion was confirmed last month.
“Chelsea thanks all four departing players for their contribution during their time with the Blues and wish them well for the next chapter in their career.”
According to reports, Chelsea has placed Robert Sanchez, Noni Madueke, Christopher Nkunku, Joao Felix, and Raheem Sterling on the transfer list.
Felix and Sterling spent last season on loan at AC Milan and Arsenal, respectively, but neither managed to make a significant impact.
Sanchez, who featured in 32 Premier League matches, faced criticism for inconsistent performances and may be replaced.
Meanwhile, Nkunku has struggled to secure a regular spot in Chelsea’s lineup since his £52 million transfer from RB Leipzig in 2023 and is reportedly drawing interest from Bayern Munich.
Madueke has been linked with a move to Napoli, but Sky Sports transfer expert Kaveh Solhekol shut down rumours last week, saying: “I’ve got no information to suggest that Chelsea are trying to actively sell Noni Madueke this summer.
“He’s valued at the club especially because of his ability to stretch opposition defences.
“Having said that, the main window will be open until the end of August, so who knows what’s going to happen, but Chelsea don’t need to sell him, and he hasn’t asked to leave.”
