Chelsea will not play in Europe again until March, but reports suggest they have already arranged a deal for a new signing next summer.
Journalist Simon Phillips reports that Chelsea have agreed to sign Jadon Sancho permanently next summer.
Sancho is currently on loan at Stamford Bridge from Manchester United, with Chelsea having the option to make the move permanent for £23 million at the end of the season.
Sancho fell out of favor at Manchester United following a disagreement with then-manager Erik ten Hag, leading to a loan move to Borussia Dortmund for the second half of last season.
With Ten Hag still in charge, Sancho was loaned out again, this time to Chelsea.
Since joining Chelsea, Sancho has scored twice and provided three assists in ten Premier League matches, showing signs of returning to the form he displayed at Dortmund.
Phillips claims that Chelsea will exercise the option to sign Sancho permanently this summer and have already agreed terms with the player, who is reportedly thrilled to be at the club he supported as a child.
