Chelsea agree £54m Pedro Neto deal with Wolves

Chelsea have now agreed a shocking deal to sign Pedro Neto from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Blues will pay a fee of €60million plus €3million in potential bonuses to sign Neto, who will have a medical shortly.

The 24-year-old featured in 20 Premier League matches for Wolves last season despite suffering two separate hamstring injuries, contributing two goals and nine assists.

He regained full fitness by the season’s end and was included in Portugal’s squad for the European Championship, playing in all three group-stage games but not seeing action in the last-16 and quarter-final fixtures.

Neto transferred to Wolves from Braga in 2019 and has made 135 appearances for the club. However, injuries have prevented him from exceeding 25 games in a season since the 2020-21 season.

Neto’s contract with Wolves extends until the summer of 2027, following a new five-year agreement he signed in March 2022.

This summer, Chelsea has acquired Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham, Omari Kellyman from Aston Villa, Marc Guiu from Barcelona, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester City, Renato Veiga from Basel, Caleb Wiley from Atlanta United, and Aaron Anselmino from Boca Juniors.
