Chelsea are reportedly considering signing Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United, according to recent reports.

L’Equipe suggests that Chelsea is eyeing the Argentine Garnacho, who is allegedly open to leaving Old Trafford. Meanwhile, Nkunku, 27, is exploring his options, with Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich reportedly interested.

Chelsea is in need of a reliable winger following Noni Madueke’s decline in form and Mykhailo Mudryk’s provisional suspension.

Napoli recently had a £40 million offer for Garnacho turned down by United, but it is claimed that the Red Devils are holding out for £60 million for their homegrown talent.

Garnacho, who came through United’s youth ranks, has scored 23 goals in 116 appearances since his debut in 2022. However, this season he has had disagreements with manager Ruben Amorim, who left him out of the starting lineup for the Manchester derby in December.

Garnacho has since returned to United’s squad and played the full 90 minutes in their recent 3-1 comeback victory over Southampton.

Despite missing an early sitter, he was part of the team effort that led to Amad Diallo’s late 12-minute hat-trick.

Before Southampton, Amorim said: “He has talent and he needs to learn to play in a different position.

“He needs to play better inside. He improves a lot in the recovering position when he doesn’t have the ball.

“But by doing that, sometimes he’s not in the right place to make transitions like he was in the past. “He’s improving during training and started the last game against Arsenal.”

On the other hand, Nkunku has netted just two goals in his 18 Premier League matches.

However, he has managed to score 13 goals and provide four assists in 28 appearances across all competitions, with most of his contributions coming in the Europa Conference League.
