According to reports from Germany, Bayern are now deep in negotiations with Chelsea and have offered to pay Jackson’s full wages during the loan period.
Jackson, who hasn’t featured in Chelsea’s first two Premier League matches this season, is said to have given his approval for the switch to the Bundesliga champions.
‘If we can find a player who is physically ready, who scores goals, has assists, and who already has experience, we would be happy to loan that player,’ Bayern’s sporting director, Max Eberl, said on Wednesday night.
When asked if Jackson fits Bayern’s criteria, Eberl said: ‘When I read his CV, he can do it.’
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are closely monitoring the ongoing transfer saga surrounding Isak, whose potential move to Liverpool could influence their decision regarding Jackson.
Isak has reportedly refused to train with Newcastle as he pushes for a transfer to Anfield ahead of Monday’s deadline.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are holding out for a more favorable deal than Bayern Munich’s current loan offer for Jackson. They’re also waiting to see if Newcastle—who have shown interest—will make a formal bid to sign the striker on a permanent basis.
With Isak potentially departing, Newcastle are actively seeking a replacement and are expected to return with an improved bid for Wolves forward Jorgen Strand Larsen, after their initial £55 million offer was turned down.
Chelsea originally acquired Jackson from Villarreal for £32 million two years ago, but now value the 24-year-old at over £60 million.
