Chelsea’s Tyrique George is reportedly looking to part ways with the club during the upcoming transfer window.
The young attacker had a standout season last year, playing in 26 matches across various competitions for the team.
George was a regular presence in the Conference League fixtures, appearing in every game except the final, where Chelsea defeated Real Betis in May.
Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that George is pushing for a transfer to gain more consistent minutes on the pitch.
Though Chelsea are keen to retain the talented 19-year-old, they acknowledge his ambition to secure a bigger role in light of their crowded attacking lineup.
German clubs RB Leipzig and Borussia Mönchengladbach have both expressed interest in signing George, who tallied three goals and five assists during his last campaign.
RB Leipzig reportedly raised George’s name in discussions with Chelsea surrounding Xavi Simons, although both moves are said to be unrelated.
Negotiations over Simons have been going smoothly between the two sides, with a verbal deal nearly finalized, according to German reporter Florian Plettenberg.
Simons has cleared RB Leipzig mentions from his Instagram bio, now only showcasing his UNICEF role and Puma sponsorship, though he still follows the club and has photos in its kit.
Chelsea are believed to be delaying their formal offer for the £60 million-rated Simons while working to trim their current squad.
Under manager Enzo Maresca, Chelsea have significantly bolstered their forward options this summer, adding Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens, Joao Pedro, and Estevao to the roster.
The club is also reportedly considering a move for Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho, who appears poised to exit Manchester United following a rift with manager Ruben Amorim.
