no plans to sell Mudryk during the January transfer window.

The Ukraine international joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in early 2023 for a fee of £88.5 million (€105m/$109m), but he has struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge.

Despite being linked with a move to Marseille, journalist Ben Jacobs reports that Chelsea have no intention of letting the 23-year-old leave in January.

Jacobs also mentions that head coach Enzo Maresca is pushing Mudryk to improve and still considers him an important player.

Mudryk, who was signed for a substantial fee, has managed just seven goals and seven assists in 66 appearances.

He is under contract at Chelsea until 2031, and if his performances don’t pick up, the club could be left with a depreciating asset that may be hard to sell.

This season, the Ukrainian has played eight matches across all competitions, with five of those being starts.

However, he has been used more frequently in cup matches than in the Premier League, where he has only started once so far this term.

According to Jacobs, Mudryk is providing strong competition for Jadon Sancho for a starting role in Maresca’s squad, and he will be aiming for more game time in Chelsea’s upcoming fixture against league leaders Liverpool on October 20.
