Chelsea have secured their first summer transfer with the acquisition of free agent Tosin Adarabioyo.
The club is on the verge of announcing their second signing, with Sport Recife’s Pedro Lima expected to join the ranks soon.

Despite his imminent arrival, Lima will be ineligible to play for Chelsea for at least a year due to his age of 17.
Rumors of Lima’s potential move have circulated for some time, with credible sources from Brazil and Europe fueling the speculation.
This weekend, however, marked a significant escalation in the discussions, leading us to believe that Lima’s transfer is imminent.
One of the main sources reporting it is CaughtOffside, who are today reporting that, while a deal isn’t yet done, “Chelsea are expected to win the race for Lima and sign the talented full back for a fee of around €15m.”
The agreement on personal terms for Pedro Lima’s transfer is nearly complete, and we could see the announcement within the next few days.
However, this is just the start of his journey. As a 17-year-old, Lima’s immediate future lies in Brazil, where he is not yet eligible to play in Europe.
Once he turns 18, it’s more probable that he will begin his professional career with our affiliate club, Strasbourg, or possibly on loan to another team.
We don’t anticipate seeing him at Stamford Bridge in the near future, even though the transfer process is nearing completion.
