Cole Palmer has expressed his confidence in Mauricio Pochettino’s continuity as Chelsea’s manager for the upcoming season.
Since his transfer from Manchester City last summer, Palmer has been a standout performer for the Blues, tallying an impressive 25 goals and 14 assists across all competitions.

Establishing himself as a pivotal figure for Chelsea, Palmer has earned a call-up to the England senior squad.
Pochettino, like Palmer, is also experiencing his inaugural season at Stamford Bridge, albeit amidst ongoing speculation about his future.
Despite facing a turbulent campaign, Chelsea’s recent victory over Brighton, securing a sixth position in the top flight, marks a positive turn of events.
Palmer, who opened the scoring against Brighton with Christopher Nkunku netting the second goal, publicly endorsed Pochettino, expressing his hope for the Argentine to continue leading the team.
“We needed the three points. It was hard towards the end and throughout the match, but to get the three points and for it to be in our hands to get sixth place is big for us. Hopefully we can do it,” he said.
“Chelsea is a big club, everyone wants to finish higher than sixth, but we have to look at where we’ve been at the start of the season, throughout the season. We’ve been 13th and 12th this season.
“Last season was the same, so to get back into Europe is a step in the right direction. Big credit to the manager because all the players love him, we’ve got to fight for him. It’s been a good season and hopefully we can get European football at the end of it.
“The header was all right! Marc knows where I’m going to be and he had a look up before he crossed it. Thankfully I lifted it over the goalkeeper and it went in. Getting 22 goals in the Premier League is a big achievement.
“Obviously Lampard is one of the best Chelsea players in history, but hopefully I can keep going. It’s my first season but I’ve got to keep pushing on. It might be tough to get more next season, but I will give it a go!”
Last week, Pochettino stirred up new uncertainty about his future by acknowledging the possibility of departing this summer.
However, prior to Wednesday’s victory, the Chelsea manager retracted those statements, emphasizing his concentration on pre-season preparations.
“We are planning,” he said. “We are working. I think we cannot take some comment from my side to put in a negative way because I always try to be positive to try and translate my feelings to you and the people.
“But I never say that we were not thinking in the future. We are thinking in the future. The plan is there to start the pre-season, the data and everything, how we are going to start and then it is not in my hands to be here or not to be here.”
