Liverpool fans have been buzzing on social media after noticing Darwin Nunez’s recent Instagram activity.
The 24/25 season has started spectacularly for Liverpool under new manager Arne Slot, with the team topping both the Premier League and UEFA Champions League tables.

Recently, it was reported that Liverpool received an offer from Italian Serie A giants AC Milan for striker Nunez.
The Uruguayan has struggled since his big-money transfer from Benfica to Anfield in the summer of 2022.
Italian news outlet AC Milan TMN reported that Milan has approached Liverpool about a loan deal with an obligation to buy.
The proposal suggests Milan is willing to pay €5 million upfront for a six-month loan, with an obligation to buy for a total of €45 million.
On Thursday, sharp-eyed fans on social media noticed that Nunez had seemingly ‘liked’ an Instagram story showing the 25-year-old in a Milan shirt (the Milan shirt was edited onto Nunez).
Reacting on social media, one fan said: “Darwin Nunez liking an Instagram story post linking him with AC Milan…The transfer window has well and truly opened.”
Another tweeted: “Think we are being a bit dramatic over an Instagram like lads.”
A third fan added: “Sell and buy Isak or Gyokeres.”
In the 24/25 season so far, Nunez has only scored four goals and provided three assists in 23 appearances across all competitions, placing him lower in the pecking order behind players like Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, and Diogo Jota under Slot’s management.
Earlier in the season, Slot said of Nunez: “For me, he has impact. He hasn’t scored the amount of goals that he wants to score … but he does have impact in his work-rate. He’s part of a team that scores a lot of goals and is winning a lot.
“Of course, as a number nine you want to score more goals, and that’s definitely what he wants as well. But I’m not only judging Mohamed Salah on his goals and Darwin on his goals – I also judge them on their work-rate and what they bring to the team.”
Liverpool are back in Premier League action this weekend when they host Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday.
