Thierry Henry, the ex-Arsenal and France forward, was deserving of a Ballon d’Or during his playing career.

In a video shared by BR/Football, Drogba referred to Henry as a “fantastic” player.

Henry had a remarkable 20-year career, playing for elite European clubs such as Monaco, Juventus, Barcelona, and most notably Arsenal.

As one of the most prolific forwards in history, he scored an impressive 360 goals and provided 173 assists in 794 club matches.

During his time with Arsenal, he won two Premier League titles, three FA Cups, two FA Community Shields, and an incredible four Golden Boot awards in the EPL.

At Camp Nou, his accolades included a Champions League title (2008-09), a Copa del Rey, a FIFA Club World Cup, a Supercopa de España, and a UEFA Super Cup.

On the international stage, he achieved even greater success. Henry is among the nine players who have made over 100 appearances for Les Bleus and ranks as their second-highest all-time scorer with 51 goals in 123 matches.

He played a crucial role in helping France secure victory in the 1998 FIFA World Cup and the 2000 European Championship. Despite his outstanding achievements, his highest finishes in the Ballon d’Or rankings were in 2003 and 2006, where he placed second and third, respectively.

When asked which player who has never won the prestigious award deserved it, Drogba expressed his thoughts clearly. He stated (via afcstuff on X):

“Thierry Henry. He deserved it like ten times, because I think he was fantastic in the Premier League, but also for the national team.

“In the Champions League, he was exceptional, scoring goals, winning games on his own and for his team. I mean, we’re talking about Thierry Henry. I don’t know if there is anything more to say.”
