A recent report offers insights into the starting XI that the German coach is likely to select for his debut match at the helm.
According to Sami Mokbel, Marc Guehi might begin on the bench, paving the way for Dan Burn to make his international debut after receiving his first England call-up.
Burn, who scored in Newcastle United’s Carabao Cup victory over Liverpool, is expected to partner Ezri Konsa of Aston Villa in central defense.
This decision is notable, given Guehi’s prominence at Euro 2024, where he started in five of England’s six matches.
However, Sky Sports’ Rob Dorsett suggests that Guehi could still make the starting lineup.
Additionally, Arsenal’s rising talent Myles Lewis-Skelly may debut at left-back, with other options including Tino Livramento and Levi Colwill.
Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones has reportedly impressed Tuchel during training with his “energy” and “mobility,” potentially earning him a starting spot alongside Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice in midfield.
In attack, Marcus Rashford is rumored to be in the lineup, forming a forward trio with Phil Foden and Harry Kane.
Rashford has been in strong form for Aston Villa since his January loan move from Manchester United, contributing four assists, though he has yet to score.
Dorsett, however, speculates that Rashford’s Villa teammate Morgan Rogers could also be in contention for a starting role.
Potential England lineup against Albania: Jordan Pickford; Kyle Walker, Ezri Konsa, Dan Burn, Myles Lewis-Skelly; Curtis Jones, Declan Rice, Jude Bellingham; Phil Foden, Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford.
