England charged by UEFA over laser pointer during penalty & ‘disturbance’ during national anthem
UEFA have confirmed that disciplinary proceedings have started against England in the wake of their Euro 2020 semi-final victory over Denmark, with the use of a ‘laser pointer’ by a fan included on the charge list.
A green light was visible as Denmark goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel was targeted before Harry Kane’s goal in the first-half of extra time.

Schmeichel saved Kane’s initial penalty but the England skipper made no mistake on the rebound and they held firm to secure a place in the final of the Euro 2020.
An own goal from Simon Kjaer had earlier cancelled out Mikkel Damsgaard’s superb free-kick and the two sides could not be separated after 90 minutes.
