Recent FA records indicate that Chelsea FC has secured the future of two key players by extending their contracts.
The club has activated clauses to prolong the tenures of Enzo Fernandez and Mykhailo Mudryk, ensuring they remain at Stamford Bridge well into their 30s.

According to the FA’s documentation, Fernandez’s contract, worth £180,000 weekly, is set to continue for another eight years, expiring in 2032. Mudryk’s deal, which sees him earn £97,000 each week, will last for seven more years, concluding in 2031.
Upon the conclusion of their contracts, Fernandez will be 31 years old, while Mudryk will be 30.
Both talents were acquired by Chelsea the previous January, with Fernandez’s transfer from Benfica amounting to approximately £106.8 million and Mudryk’s move from Shakhtar Donetsk costing around £88.5 million.
The rationale behind Chelsea’s decision to extend these contracts, despite the significant time remaining on them, remains undisclosed.
Despite facing challenges in meeting the high expectations at Chelsea, Fernandez has recently expressed confidence in delivering improved performances in the upcoming seasons.
“I’m trying to get there, to the version of me that you saw at the World Cup,” the 23-year-old explained to Chelsea’s official site. “I want to feel like that Enzo, that was playing at the World Cup. I want to get back there.
“I feel good, getting better each day, but I still don’t feel like I’m at 100 per cent. I’m still adapting and still don’t feel entirely myself, but I’m trying to get there as quickly as possible and working hard every day in order to do so.
“It won’t be easy because the World Cup has been and gone, and I’m still growing as a player and developing my skills, but I’m looking for that Enzo. I want to feel completely myself again.”
Lewis Hall’s contract was renewed last season, and he subsequently moved to Newcastle on a season-long loan. This arrangement includes an option for Newcastle to make the transfer permanent at the season’s end for a fee of £28 million.
The details of the contracts for Fernandez, Mudryk, and Hall were disclosed in the FA’s latest report on agent payments, which was published recently.
The report also highlighted that Chelsea set a new record by spending £75.1 million on agent fees from February 2023 to February 2024.
In comparison, Manchester City incurred £60.6 million in agent fees, Manchester United spent £34 million, Liverpool’s agent fees amounted to £31.5 million, and Arsenal’s fees totaled £24.7 million.
