Cesc Fabregas predicts winner of Man Utd vs Arsenal

Cesc Fabregas exudes confidence in Arsenal’s strength, anticipating a decisive victory for Mikel Arteta’s team over Manchester United at Old Trafford in the upcoming match.

With a slender lead of one point, Arsenal tops the Premier League standings, just ahead of Manchester City. Despite City’s impressive treble win last season and a game in hand, they face the challenge of surpassing Arsenal.

As the current champions prepare to face Fulham at Craven Cottage, they are aware that a win would propel them past the Gunners. Fulham, however, has been struggling, securing only a single victory in their last seven Premier League matches.

On the other hand, Manchester United is reeling from a recent severe 4-0 loss to Crystal Palace, who are positioned 14th in the league.

In his analysis on the Planet Premier League podcast, Fabregas cautioned Arsenal about the potential threat posed by the Red Devils, yet he remains supportive of his old team’s ability to triumph and deepen United’s current plight.

‘I consider it a big game, Arsenal v United, United v Arsenal, they have always been special games,’ the ex-Arsenal and Spain midfielder said.

‘It’s true, United at the moment are not at the level that they were in the past, we can all agree with that. I can see Arsenal being too strong for them at the moment.

‘I do think Arsenal play by memory, they are confident, they believe, they have the experience. They have grown over the last year, they improve, so I do think Arsenal will win that game comfortably.

‘I will not say easily because United is United and the history, at the end of the day, the badge on the chest, we need to respect that and Old Trafford is Old Trafford.

‘But again, I consider Arsenal are too strong at the moment.’

Arsenal fans will be desperate for Fulham to pull off an upset against Man City in Saturday’s kick-off and Fabregas believes the game could prove a ‘tricky’ contest for Guardiola’s side.

‘Fulham is a tricky one for Manchester City,’ he added.

‘They are playing well, they have a very good team and they have good players.

‘They’ve had a good season, a very complete season. They’ve improved in many areas, they have a good coach so, yeah, I believe it’s going to be at least tricky for Manchester City to obtain the three points.’
