Despite being one of the Premier League’s top performers at the moment, Cole Palmer is not currently Enzo Maresca’s ‘favourite player’, according to Joao Felix.
On Saturday, Palmer made history as the first player to score four goals in the first half of a Premier League match.

Just days before the match, Palmer attended the EAFC 25 launch event in London with teammate Joao Felix, where Felix was asked a series of rapid-fire questions.
During an interview with Sky Sports, Felix gave insights into his teammates, answering questions on topics like best hairstyle, most likely to become a manager, and the hardest-working player.
However, the most intriguing moment came when Felix was asked about Enzo Maresca’s supposed ‘favourite’ player.
After a brief hesitation, Felix replied “Moi”, referring to Ecuadorian midfielder Moises Caicedo, who joined Chelsea last summer for a record-breaking £115 million fee.
Maresca has recently described Caicedo as a “very important player” after his start to the season, although he identified one area of his game which can still improve.
“I knew Moi already from Brighton, I watched a lot of games of Moi in that season. I think in this moment for us he’s a very important player,” the Italian said.
“He’s doing well, especially off the ball, but he can do much better on the ball and be more brave breaking the line. But I think with us he’s doing very well, but he can be even better on the ball.”
Caicedo has started more matches than any other Chelsea player so far in 2024/25 and after his display against West Ham last weekend, Maresca was once again full of praise for the defensive midfielder.
“He is top,” said Maresca. “His performance was very good, but since we started Moi has been fantastic and once again he was top.”
