United are still actively pursuing new signings, with manager Rúben Amorim particularly interested in bringing in Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo and a current England international.
To balance the books and comply with financial regulations, Amorim is also looking to offload several players, with multiple names linked to exits from Old Trafford.
Among those potentially on the way out are Marcus Rashford—who spent the latter half of last season on loan at Aston Villa—and Alejandro Garnacho.
Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia are also part of the group expected to depart.
According to journalist Nathan Salt, these five players—Rashford, Garnacho, Sancho, Antony, and Malacia—have been told to report back to Carrington later in July, giving them time to secure moves away from the club.
Chris Wheeler reports that if they are unable to complete transfers, they will be welcomed back into the squad and allowed to use the club’s medical and rehabilitation facilities during their absence from training.
Like Rashford, Sancho, Antony, and Malacia all spent time out on loan last season.
Sancho joined Chelsea, where he made 41 appearances and scored five goals, including one in the Conference League final against Real Betis, though the Blues declined to make the move permanent.
Antony impressed during his loan at Betis, netting nine goals in 26 games. The Spanish club is keen to keep him, but his wages remain a stumbling block.
Malacia, meanwhile, joined PSV Eindhoven in February and featured in 12 matches.
Garnacho had a busy season, playing 58 games and scoring 11 goals. Despite his contributions, his future appears to lie elsewhere, with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Aston Villa all reportedly monitoring his situation closely.
