Despite interest from Manchester City and Bayern Munich, the German midfielder is widely expected to join Liverpool in the coming days as part of their summer recruitment drive.
However, Wirtz faces a challenge upon his arrival—his preferred number 10 shirt is already taken. At Bayer Leverkusen, he has worn the number for the past two seasons and hopes to continue doing so at Liverpool.
Currently, Alexis Mac Allister holds the number 10 jersey, and given his importance to the team, he is unlikely to relinquish it.

There is a possibility that Wirtz could claim the number if Mac Allister departs, as reports suggest Real Madrid is considering him as a replacement for Luka Modric.
