Fred has criticised Manchester United for appointing an interim manager and lacking a long-term plan for the future of the club.
Rumours have been rife in recent months that there is currently unrest at Old Trafford with numerous reports of dressing room issues.
Ralf Rangnick has dragged the Red devils into fourth place in the Premier League table but some supporters, pundits and former players are still unhappy with many of their performances.
And Fred says the appointment of Rangnick as an interim manager “is a bit strange” with the club clearly lacking long-term planning.
Fred told TNT Sports Brazil: “I know in football it’s important to get good results as soon as possible, but it’s also important to have a long-term plan. “It’s a bit bad for us not to have one.
“At the moment it’s all about the short-term goals. We don’t know how it’s going to be after the end of this season. “It’s about having better football planning at the club.”
United have failed to win a Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson left the club in 2013 and Fred claims you “don’t deserve to play” for the club if you don’t want win titles and trophies.
Fred added: “Every player that comes to this club wants to win titles. It’s the same with me, Bruno, Alex, Cristiano, Sancho, all of us.
“We want trophies but it’s been a long drought. With all due respect to Villarreal, it was our job to win that Europa League final and we failed.
“If you don’t want to win titles you don’t deserve to play for Manchester United. We’re still in the Champions League but let’s see if we arrive better next season to find our peak football.”
