The Catalan side, trailing the league leaders by two points, head into El Clasico in blistering form after dismantling Olympiacos in the Champions League.
Barca cruised to a 6-1 win over Olympiacos on Tuesday, with Rashford excelling up front and netting a brilliant brace.
He struck twice in quick succession during the second half, bringing his goal count to five.
Rashford has won over both supporters and pundits since joining Barca from Man United. The club itself has taken notice, with Flick eager to secure a permanent deal.
Reports from Spain suggest Flick instructed Deco to ‘pay the €30 million’ to finalize Rashford’s transfer.
Deco agrees and is actively weighing the option to trigger the clause, reportedly set at €30 million (£26 million). Rashford has featured in 12 matches across all competitions this term.
He’s enjoying consistent playing time at Barca after a difficult period at Man United.
During the October international break, the England forward admitted he must work on his consistency, noting the challenge of doing so in an ‘inconsistent environment’ at Old Trafford.
“Consistency is a massive part of it. I feel like I’ve been in an inconsistent environment for a very, very long time. So it’s even more difficult to be consistent then,” he told ITV.
“Consistency is what I need to bring into my game. I’m looking to do that, I want to be at my best, not sometimes, but as often as possible.”
The 27-year-old added: “When people talk about consistency, in order to be consistent in anything, not just sport, you need consistent variables in your life, in the way you train and we’ve just had so many changes so far in my career.
“I have to look forward and that’s definitely one of the things I want to put right and improve on and to be at my best more often. When I’m at my best I really enjoy everything about the sport, so being there is a special thing for me.”
Rashford is well-acquainted with high-stakes matches, having faced Liverpool and Manchester City during his time at Man United.
He may now experience his first El Clasico when Barca head to Madrid this weekend.
Though he’s only been with the club for a short time, Rashford understands the magnitude of the fixture and is eager for the challenge.
“The match against Real Madrid is important and one of the reasons I came here,” he said after Barca’s Champions League victory. “I’m looking forward to it.”
